Bowling

I met up with Kayla and her friends on Saturday night. We went out to eat then went bowling it was really fun. Hopefully we will be companions somewhere along the way. I keep telling everyone she will be my MTC comp! My game was average. My first score was a 132 and my second was a 121.

I also got to see Brittney, my Best Friend from high school. We probably get to see each other like twice a year so it was really cool!

Making Memories of Us

Well, this last week has been really tough. I was listening to Tyler and I's song and couldn't believe how much it seems like this is what Tyler would tell me right now. The song is by Keith Urban and it is entitled "Making Memories of Us". If you don't know the words, there they are: I cry every time I hear them...

"I'm gonna be here for you baby, I'll be a man of my word.
Speak a language of a voice that you have never heard.
I wanna sleep with you forever, and I wanna die in your arms,
In a cabin by a meadow where the wild beasts roam.

(Chorus)
And I'm gonna love you, like no body loves you.
And I'll earn your trust making memories of us.

I wanna honor your mother, and I wanna learn from your pa.
I wanna steal your attention like a bad outlaw.
And I wanna stand out in the crowd for you, a man among men.
I wanna make your world better than its ever been.

Chorus

We'll follow the rainbow, where ever the four winds blow.
And there'll be a new day, coming your way.

I'm gonna be here for you from now on, this you know somehow.
You've been stretched to the limits but its alright now.
And I'm going to make you a promise, if there's life after this,
I'm gonna be there to greet you with a warm, wet kiss.

Chorus x 2"

He really did make sure to leave me with a an abundance of sweet memories. It is truly a blessing to have such an amazing man as my husband and eternal companion.

Thank you to everyone who has shared their pictures of Tyler with me. Below are some of my favorites.

Potential Future Companion!

So, last Tuesday I got a completely random e-mail from a girl named Kayla Buhler. She lives in Highland. She found me on a missionary site that I had put some information in. She has also been called to serve in Nashville Tennessee. To make things even cool-er, she is entering the MTC and the mission field the same day as I am! We have already become really good friends. Here is a picture of her.

We met at Sister Missionary Mall in Provo last Saturday. We are both so excited to leave! We just wish it were May 28th right now! We will be in the MTC for 2.5 weeks. It is very likely that we will be companions there. We will be flying to Nashville June 16th! Crazy!

In addition to this blog, I have a website through the church for my mission. It is www.missionsite.net/sisterthacker. Check it out!

The most Randomly Composed Post in History!

Ok, since my mom is already posting this information I might as well: I will be speaking in sacrament meeting at the Francis Church on the 25th of May @ 2:20. All of my Salt Lake Dwellers: Hang tight, I am still finding out if I will be speaking at my single's ward.

I figured I needed to put a picture on this post since such additions have been sparse in my past posts... Here is a picture of my mission shoes. Sometimes I just look at them for long periods of time. They are so cute!

I am sure all of you noticed all of those adorable pictures of Kylan on Dan and Calli's Blog. While in Vegas I thought I would try to steal a couple of that cute baby with my camera while Calli wasn't looking... as you can clearly see, my thievery was in vain! "Blast!" I knew I should have turned off that flash!

I know all of you are wondering what I am doing while I stay up until 2 and 3 0'clock in the morning...

I take pictures of myself without a lick of make-up on and make funny faces.... Such is my life.

I love to see the Temple Part 2

Sorry, I don't have any pictures this time. I was having too much fun. (Pictures can be seen on Calli and Dan's Blog).

Cousin Kevin got married and sealed this weekend in the Las Vegas Temple. After convincing my boss that I do not have a major gambling addiction I headed down with the Thackers. They were so sweet to take me along. I slept the entire way there and back!

Rissa and Jared were the perfect hosts. They were so kind to give up their house to us. I got to spend a lot of time with Calli and her cute baby Kylan. I also got to see my sister Patrice. We went on a shopping spree that originally was supposed to consist of Maternity clothes for her. It ended up being a Missionary shopping spree. I hope Patrice didn't mind. I had a lot of fun with her. She looks so cute with her little baby bump!

We are all so happy that Kevin has found such a wonderful girl. I liked Stephanie the first time I met her. And her daughter is such a doll! They are so sweet and good to Kevin. They make such an amazing eternal family.

It is so great to see the Lord's work moving forward. Every time a couple enters into the temple to be sealed, it is another set of God's children that have the full potential through their Divine Creator to return to the Kingdom of their Father. I truly love to see the temple and it is even more amazing to see those I love entering into those same covenants that bring me so much happiness and joy!

I Love to See the Temple!

On Saturday, my Grandma and her husband went through the temple! It was such an amazing experience to be a part of. Grandma was beaming. Grandpa Dick asked me if I would be his new granddaughter, I told him "Definately!" We love him very much and are so glad that he can be a part of our family forever! It was also my sweet cousin Kailey's baptism. She looked so beautiful in her white dress. She is also a blessing to have in our family. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of her. : (

This is a pic of my Grandma just after she was sealed with Jane wearing her Karate Kid attire.

(L to R): Aunt Julie, Me, My Dad (squating in the front), Addision, My Mom, Holly (right behind her), Jane, My Uncle Brian, My Uncle Chris, My Grandma Shauna and Grandpa Dick, My other Aunt Julie right behing them, Her husband Brad, Then next to him is My Great Uncle Deiter and Aunt Ruthie (They are actually cousin's to my Grandma), The woman in the red dress is Dick's sister and the woman next to her is one of my Grandma's dear friends. The man on the very end is Dick's brother-in-law.... sorry that was really confusing.
